  • Apr 14, 2021 I'm on an 27' i9 iMac (2018 I think) running Mojave—main applications are Adobe (Lightroom, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premier), Is it time to move to Big Sur? I'm not having any issues and had read that Big Sur was one of Apple's most unstable iterations. I know I can't go forever with Mojave, but there's also the, 'if it ain't broke'.

In medium dark theme mode, InDesign displays black colored text on white background in the titles of all dialogs.

The InDesign engineering team is investigating a fix for this issue.

Big Sur Adobe Indesign

We are working to ensure that our apps are natively compatible with Apple silicon devices, but do not have a release date yet. Apple silicon devices ship with Rosetta 2, an emulator that enables ARM Macs to run Intel-based apps. InDesign will work on Rosetta 2 until they are available natively.

There are no known issues specific to running InDesign under Rosetta 2 emulation mode on Apple devices with M1 processors running BigSur (macOS 11).
